Description
A mother horse and her foal enjoy a fall day in the countryside.
There is a old photo of my dad cradling me in his arms at 6 weeks old and holding me up to our old workhorse Tony so he could meet me for the first time. I have had horses in my life ever since. I was obsessed with them. Living on a farm and an only child, Tony was also my best friend.
When I was in school and couldn't be with Tony I would draw horses all the time. My Art Teacher was so frustrated with me because no matter what she had us do I always managed to get a horse in my picture.
When I was painting this scene it put me in a happy spot because I thought back to all those pictures I did and made sure I got a horse in it, no matter what!
